Gessie Roelofse Van Houten married Lubbert the brother of Willem, she was the sister of Dirkje Roelofse Van Houten, who married Willem. Geesie had six children: four born in Holland, two in America. This family arrived in America with Willem and family on May 24, 1662. Lubbert bought a lot of land on Long Island and he owned many slaves. About 1675 he sold his land for $1,600.00 and moved to New Jersey.
