First owner of the Ufton Court estate, a manor house still standing in Berkshire nearing Reading about 2 miles from the village of Ufton Nervet. It is now used by the Berkshire schools as an outdoor and historical education center, very nicely maintained, but not in the Perkins' family since about 1750.
