Began service in the Revolutionary War at the age of seventeen. He served intermittently all through the war. Part of the time he was stationed in Albemarle County, VA, guarding British prisoners. He was "at surrender of Cornwallis and Siege of Yorktown."
Having received bounty land for assisting in the establishment of American Independence, he settled in Estill County, KY |
